What is the Groene Hart Pass?
The Groene Hart Pass is an initiative of the municipalities of Bodegraven-Reeuwijk, De Ronde Venen, Montfoort, Oudewater and Woerden.
The pass is for residents with a lower income. If you have less money to spend, most of your income often goes towards fixed costs such as rent and groceries. This can make extra expenses difficult.
With the Groene Hart Pass, you receive a personal credit. You can use this credit to pay for useful and enjoyable activities for yourself and your children. For example, sports, culture or school-related items.
The pass is free. The credit is added to your digital pass by your municipality. You can use this credit directly with participating organisations, such as sports clubs, shops and cultural organisations.
What can I use the Groene Hart Pass for?
With the Groene Hart Pass, you decide how to spend your credit. For example, you can use it for:
• Sports activities (such as memberships or lessons)
• Cultural activities (such as theatre visits or music lessons)
• Education and school supplies
You pay directly with your pass when using a participating provider. The municipality then pays the organisation directly. You do not receive the money in your own bank account.
Many organisations in the region take part in the scheme.
